We go beyond what is presented to us in the material world. Moving about in this space as an athlete or soul takes an understanding of the universal code, to truly access your greater self and the world around you. #tapintomagic

Do What You▼ Love. Are you doing what you love everyday? Or, are you like so many athletes and shackled by technology? Science is a beautiful thing and training techniques have come a long way in every sport.. But, many athletes are getting lost and are losing sight of our own most natural and intuitive computer, our bodies. In a world inundated with information we are losing perspective and relying on outside influences more than our own intuitive, connected gifts. Numbers are a great baseline and can be useful, certainly. But as a Soul▼Sport▼Athlete the goal is to feel good, to be connected to our body, mind, soul, and disconnect from our daily grind. The soul is being sucked out of our sports by constantly quantifying them. In every sport, burnout rate is high, needs are not truly being met and injuries are prevailing. Take cycling. In a recent New York Times article by Ian Austen, Karel Bergmann, a manager from 4iiii who is traveling with the Etixx-Quick Step team, acknowledged that, price aside, power meters are not for every cyclist. “Don’t become a victim of the numbers,” he said, noting that the brain is good at interpreting the body’s signals about exertion. “You always have to read your body. Why do you want to discharge all this very sophisticated equipment that we’re born with?” The article resonated with many athletes talking about their own journeys from science to soul. As a professional athlete in a variety of sports for the last 20 years, I have tried it all but what I rely on most is being in tune with my own body. My own rhythm. I was always attracted to training through instinct. I enjoyed testing my skills, focusing on being well balanced in life and in sport. There is success in this method and it comes with a deep gratitude for the complex system that nature has given us. Learn how to tap in, find new practices, combine the best of science with self-awareness. Have fun again, and reach a higher plain of consciousness while doing it. So, are you really doing what you love everyday? For the right reasons? Are you connecting by disconnecting with the superficial world? Are you tapping into your greater consciousness for your ultimate power as an athlete and in life? Think about it. Tap into Magic
Inspiration Behind the Snakeskin Shibori Cycling KitEverything we do, we do with SOUL. Our Snakeskin Shibori kit is no exception. We believe that intention should be put into all we do. Our kit comes from one vision brought to life by an amalgamation of 3 different designers work. It all started years ago with the obsession with snakes and snakeskin. The snake animal meaning is powerfully connected to life force and primal energy. In many cultures, it is revered as a powerful totem representing the source of life. When the snake spirit animal appears in your life, it likely means that healing opportunities, change, important transitions, and increased energy are manifesting. Harnessing the primal energy of the snake was important to us. As athletes we rely on this energy to perform. Shibori, the centuries old Japanese technique of dying cloth with spontaneity, mystery, and serendipitous effects continue to inspire new generations of artists and designers all over the world. Shibori inspired us. Not only the time staking and magical results but also the very specific dye used, Indigo. Electric Indigo is used to symbolically represent the 6th chakra which is said to include the third eye. This color has also been used to represent "Love-wisdom" and holds a place in the rainbow spectrum as one of the seven prismatic colors. Although our kit does not use these traditional techniques to create the outcome, we were inspired by the process and colors used. The collection of power and meaning is infused deeply within this piece. With the help of designers Hunter King, Adrian Encalada, and Cuores Hannah Hazel, S▼S▼A's vision was able to come to life. We feel the power in this kit when we ride, it draws on natural elements that bring strength, insight, and wisdom. Combined with Cuores light weight and supple fabric, impeccable design, and integral business practices we are happy to say we have collaborated with only the best intentions to share this with all of you.
